Manpower are recruiting a School Caretaker in Nottingham, NG2!

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to take on the responsibilities of a School Caretaker. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The role involves ensuring that the school facilities are well-maintained, secure, and ready for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and report any major issues to the appropriate authorities.
• 
  Security and Safety: Monitor the premises to ensure they are secure and safe for students and staff. This includes locking and unlocking buildings, setting alarms, and conducting regular safety checks.
• 
  Event Support: Assist with setting up and clearing events such as assemblies, sports activities, and parent-teacher meetings.
• 
  Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the school grounds, including grass cutting, gardening, and ensuring outdoor spaces are tidy and safe.
• 
  Communication: Liaise with staff and management regarding maintenance needs and any issues that arise.
• 
  Health and Safety: Comply with all health and safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• 
  Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking or similar role is desirable.
• 
  Skills: Ability to use basic tools and equipment, good physical fitness, and strong communication skills.

Due to the nature of the role you will need an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm
