Childrens social worker

Locality frontline services

Experience of working with children and young families in frontline services, i.e. child in need, child protection, and for children who are looked after.

Experience of undertaking pre-proceedings and working within legal frameworks including private and public law proceedings and adoption proceedings.

Hours will be 35 per week Monday to Friday 08:45 until 16:30.

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with families, professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams at all levels.
• Ability to maintain accurate, reflective records following "Recording with Care" guidelines.
• Flexible approach to support the operational needs of the service.
• Social Work England registration.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving license.
• Post-qualified social work experience.
• Degree or equivalent in Social Work.

Desirable Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively with parents and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
• Experience in providing practical parenting strategies.
• Access to a car and laptop for work purposes.
