Job Title: Behaviour Support Officer
Salary: Grade 13 - £25,183 - £27,269 (FTE), £20,160 - £21,830 (Actual)
Hours: Monday - Friday 35.5 Hours per week (term time only)
Start Date: ASAP (Permanent or fixed term contract available)

Role of Behaviour Support Officer:
This school are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Officer. The role is to start as soon as possible and the school will offer a permanent or fixed term contract for the right applicant. The position will be 35.5 hours per week, term time only. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties
Create positive relationships with students, helping them build confidence, self-esteem, and social skills
Support a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Assist with de-escalating challenging situations and implementing restorative practices
Implement behaviour management strategies and individualised support plans
Regularly review and analyse behaviour data to identify trends and patterns and implement appropriate interventions
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the wider team
Manage day-to-day operation of internal isolation room
Work collaboratively with pastoral and teaching staff Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English
Experience of working with children of secondary age
A working knowledge of basic microsoft packages
Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience, patience, and a calm demeanour in challenging situations
The ability to work within a high pressure environment and to keep calm when under pressure
