Job Description

PE Global is recruiting a Automotive Test Engineer for our multinational industrial manufacaturing client based in Desford. The role is a 12-month contract & the rate for this role is £23.59-£32.30 p/h.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vehicle testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for vehicle systems and components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical vehicle systems and components to identify and resolve issues. (Off highway and automotive is preferrable but not essential.)

• Strong communicator required to collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test methodologies and equipment.

• Monitor and report on test results, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets are achieved.

• Develop equipment specifications and installation requirements, ensuring that the equipment is safe and meets the needs of manufacturing.

• Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.

Requirements:

Degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering or design engineering.

Data Acquisition

• Experience in vehicle test in automotive, heavy equipment, engine manufacture, aerospace or submarines etc
