Contract Maintenance Engineer (Outside IR35)
35.00 Per Hour
Wirral
4 on 4 off (Days/Nights)

gap technical is proud to be representing an established manufacturing business in their search for Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their team in Wirral.

• Minimise downtime through proactive and reactive maintenance of equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
• Collaborate with engineering and factory teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to health & safety regulations and operating procedures.

• Qualified Engineer - Time-served apprenticeship (Mechanical or Electrical), minimum City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Electrically biased? You'll need I.E.E 17th Edition qualification.
• Mechanically biased? You'll need a safe working knowledge of basic electrical fault-finding, lock-off, and isolation procedures.
• Industry Experience - Ideally from food or packaging manufacturing.
