Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Daventry, NN11

Salary: 85-95 per day

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities, preparing materials, and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
2. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with learning activities or development.
3. Help monitor and manage student behaviour, ensuring classroom rules are upheld and supporting positive behaviour reinforcement.
4. Facilitate educational activities under the teacher's guidance, such as reading, writing, or craft projects.
5. Assist with students' personal needs, including social, emotional, and physical care.
6. Help with tasks like grading, organising resources, or preparing bulletin boards.
7. Monitor students during lunch, recess, or field trips, ensuring safety and promoting inclusion.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., teaching assistant qualifications, safeguarding training) are preferred but not always required.
