Development Accounts Assistant

The culture is one of excellence and care a business built on values so a great working culture.Development incomeDuties include, but are not limited to:* Review bank balances every morning – process intercompany transfers if necessary* Populating cashflow forecast with accurate figures daily as well as forecasting receipts and payments for future months* Banking of cheques received* Authorising completion statements, liaising with lawyers to ensure the correct funds are received on the sale of a property and ensuring no delays on completion* Manage house sales postings/completions. Ensuring correct funds are received and on time* Manage completion status spreadsheet, ensuring it is updated weekly using the latest sales report or as and when completions and reservations occur* Manage and reconcile balance sheet reservation deposit and exchange accounts. Keeping balance sheet up to date on a weekly basis to avoid any delays in authorising completions and making sure that exchange on deposit funds are transferred as per different leases and developments* Reconcile sales ledger control account against aged debt report for month end and administration of debtors ledger* Process reservation cancellations and update completions spreadsheet and reservation deposit reconciliation accordingly* Balance sheet reconciliations regarding debtors to be produced monthly and reviewed with the manager* Raising of sales invoices and credit notes and processing these on accounting system* Manage Ground Rent Invoicing, ensuring that accurate invoices are sent out and follow up to ensure full paymentBank reconciliation* Perform bank reconciliations and cash postings ensuring they are completed weekly and at month endAdhoc duties* Making Bacs and chaps payment transfers as and when required* To ensure that the administrative tasks within the department are supported* Ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate fashion* Other general administrative duties as and when required* Any reasonable request made by the finance managerSkills and experienceExperience using COINS accounting system preferredPrevious exposure in property preferredCompetenciesSelf-motivatedMicrosoft excel experience and IT literateExcellent communication skills and a professional telephone mannerExcellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritiseStrong system skills with attention to detail and analytical skillsBenefits PackageCompetitive salaryHealthcare cash planPension Scheme25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays
