CMF Designer

Our OEM client based in Gothenburg, Sweden is looking for a CMF Designer to join their team.

Assignment Description:

Create and deliver complete CMF design proposals, digital and physical according to the clients vision and CMF mission.
Collaborate with cross functional teams internally e.g., Brand & Innovation, Interior and Components.
Support with CMF solutions for extended products i.e., key fobs, charging stations etc.
Creation of patterns for CMF applications e.g., embroidery, perforations.
Follow projects post AA2 (industrialization phase), handed over to DQ studio in China.
Benchmarking and trend scouting (China focus).
Support CMF team in preparing presentations and showcase materials for design reviews. Main focus is to be able to visualize concepts digitally (see requirement section below on Software and IT skills).
Represent CMF in assigned meeting forums and liaise with colleagues in China operations.
Support CMF team with Chinese translation before and during stakeholder meetings

Min. bachelor’s degree within Industrial Design, Transportation Design or Fine Arts.
Minimum 5 years’ experience from automotive/transportation design. Experience working in other design related industries is an advantage.
Deep knowledge in design process and methodology as well CMF developments.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Understanding of complete car development process.
Strong communicator with good presentation skills, both verbally and visually.
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Alias & visualization software with ability to visualize and communicate ideas effectively in 2D and 3D.
Strong drive, independent and confident as well as a good team player.
Structured, methodical and analytical with good planning skills.
Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances. Entrepreneurial mindset.

Software and IT:

Adobe Creative Suite.
Major advantage if candidate possess skills in Alias, VRED, Rhino, Keyshot, Substance etc.
Personal attributes:

Be able to travel to China
Driven (a doer) with a “can-do-attitude”, flexible and pragmatic as well a team player.
