Vacancy Description Pay rate - £18.35 PAYE (minimum)Manage and take responsibility for CNC Program activities within manufacturing operations. Develop and control CNC Programs and support other systems that affect manufacturing operations.Key Duties -*Planning & strategising of CNC Systems
*Day to day activities with the ability to stand back and take a wider perspective.
*Cost reductions and productivity improvements.
*Responsible for managing CNC Programs in the Manufacturing Operations
*Cross shift communication and management is crucial.
*Resolve day-to-day problems with relevant resources using efficient and effective communication.
*Co-ordinate all project and purchasing solutions in a timely manner to ensure continuous process improvements can be made and sustained.
*Support Manufacturing Facilities.
*Influence of day-to-day budgets.Skills & Attributes:
*Operational experience in a CNC engineering environment applicable to manufacturing systems.
*To have knowledge of CNC software development activity together with machine process understanding.
*Manufacturing operation process knowledge with high level of understanding of soft and hardware.
*Demonstrate an ability to develop the above.Experience:
*Ideally experienced in an automotive manufacturing environment.
*Preferable knowledge with high volume production machinery.
*Knowledge of various lean manufacturing methods is advantageous.Education & Qualifications:
*Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent (e.g. Degree/HNC, Membership of Professional Institution).
*Minimum of four year apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical/machining disciplineCADCAM - Design experience
