If you want your weekends back but still want to use your pharmacy skills and would like to add value to a business where pharmacy sits at the heart of it then join our pharmacy team as a pharmacy technician.About the Pharmacy Technician role:Our community pharmacy is where we build our ProScript software system. This is a drugs database supporting all of our customers in the UK and Northern Ireland. You'll be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining our systems data and ensuring that the most up to date information is available to all pharmacies using our products and services in the UK. On a typical day you'll be involved in reviewing data that's come from various sources, identifying any inconsistencies and running validation queries using Access. Ultimately we're looking for you to ensure our customers have the most up to date and relevant information so our patients have longer healthier livesOur team:You'll join a team of 6 similar people, all working to make a difference to our customers and patients. Supported and developed by our informatics team leader and our pharmacy manager, you'll increase your knowledge and develop both your pharmacy and IT skills.Who you'll beWe want to make sure you're set for success so the key skills we are looking for in the role are below:+ NPA approved (or equivalent) dispenser/technician
+ previous experience of working in community pharmacy
+ knowledge and use of BNF, England &Wales Drug Tariff, DM+D and C&D
+ if you know about Scotland and Northern Ireland Drug Tariffs that's also helpful
+ experience of using MS Office, particularly an intermediate knowledge of Excel and Access
+ a team player with a proven track record of working successfully within a team environment
+ experience of working with large volumes of data to high level of accuracy
