Telecoms Civil Operative

My client is a large infrastructure company working across the UK and Ireland. They work with several large companies in the Telecoms & Power industry. They have served the industry for over 40 years and have recently been working in other areas of the world including Africa, India & the Caribbean.They are currently looking for Civil Operatives to work on a large Telecoms contract bringing fibre upgrades to the property. They are looking for experienced Civil operatives to work on a large FTTP project spanning across the South West of the UK.This is an excellent opportunity to work for a large contractor on one of the largest networks in the UK.There are options to work away from home for this role and will be paying between £100 to £150 (3 or more years experience) per day for the 1st person (must have the accreditations below)& £100 to £120 for the 2nd man.The ideal candidate will have to:
·Install ducts, cabinets, chambers and other equipment on the Network
·Install new wire or draw rope
·Assess the risks of the job and assist with the risk assessments and hazard identification.
·Have a good Health & Safety knowledge
·Ability to clear blockages, dig and reinstate
·Have experience of using a trench compactor, mini digger, stihl saw, wacker plates and the correct authorisation to use them
·The ability to fill in any paperwork that is required
·Customer service skills as you will be working on private properties at times
·Have one member of the team (2/3 man team) with a HGV and Grab license
·Have the ability to adapt and be compliant with clients procedures
·Have previous telecom experienceCWU
