Risk Practitioner

They provide performance driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle, from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas, power & process, environment and infrastructure, clean energy, mining, nuclear and general industrial sectors.Global Engineering business is seeking a Risk Practitioner with experience in the nuclear industry to join major project JV delivery team on-site at Sellafield. The JV is responsible for the design and delivery a £300m plant to enable conditioning of wastes from various donor plants, to the satisfaction of project stakeholders.Roles and Responsibilities:
As an integral member of Project Controls team, working in collaboration with the client’s delivery team, the Risk Practitioner will be responsible for the identification, assessment and reporting of Risks in line with the Risk Management Plan (RMP).
Responsibilities broadly include:
• Input to the continuous improvement of the Risk Management Plan
• Input to the risk database and Risk Management documents within the IMS
• Assisting the Risk Manager in building a risk aware culture and enhancing the competence and maturity in Risk Management within the project team
• Facilitating risk elicitation sessions and subsequent risk assessments
• Facilitating the development of risk treatments and monitoring effectiveness
• Consulting with and directly supporting the needs of related functions
• Support risk reporting including communication across disciplines
• Risk Management representative at the construction sitePerson Specification:
• Educated to degree level, independent, self-motivated, results driven
• Risk Management related qualifications (IRM, APM) preferred
• Experience in delivering Project Risk Management
• Sound understanding of Project Controls and an NEC3 environment
• Experience of the nuclear industry and construction would be beneficial
• The ability to obtain BC is essential for continuance in the role.
• Confident in the use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Confident in compiling and maintaining risk records (excel / databases)Non-Essential (but beneficial to the role):
