Duration: 2 month FTC
Salary: £9.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm
Centric Talent are delighted to be recruiting a talented Spanish speaking Translator for our Gaming Client based in Brentford London on a fixed term contract with a view to go permanent.
Working within a fun, lively, multilingual project team you will work with peers and other departments to share ideas and suggestions.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Spanish linguistic content within a yet-to-be-released video game is correctly localised into the Spanish language and that the text is displayed correctly when seen in-game, while also detecting and reporting any linguistic flaws.

This a studio-based role commencing toward the end of April/ beginning of May and will classify as an initial fixed term 2-month contract.
What you will be doing
Identifying Spanish grammar issues, misspelled words, missing punctuation, incorrect capitalisation, and other punctuation language issues/err
Looking for Spanish inconsistencies in texts, inaccurate translations and making improvement suggestions when sentences or words sound unnatural. Finding and describing issues in English as well as in Spanish.
Analysing Spanish text to identify and correct issues related to localisation and accurately providing detailed and complete reporting (and subsequent revision) of those errors or problems, whilst making suggestions for improvement
Tracking and ensuring consistency of in-game terminology between languages and researching to ensure authentic and accurate contextual use of languag Logging details of errors/issues found and providing critical analysis and concise
What we are looking for
Native level fluency in Spanish and English, particularly reading & writing.
Strong understanding of the Spanish culture.
A background in languages (preferred).
Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - particularly Microsoft Excel.
A willingness to do repetitive tasks and adapt to ever-changing technology.
An ability to work either alone or in a team and with other colleagues, sometimes under pressure to meet deadlines.
An interest in and understanding of the video game industry (preferred).
Degree in Translation (or similar)
