Commercial Gas Engineer

A leading Local Authority in West Yorkshire are in search of Commercial Gas Engineers to join their busy team. As a Commercial Gas Engineer you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of gas installations in a range of housing and non-housing properties, ensuring all work is of a high standard and carried out in strict compliance with all relevant legislation and council procedures concerning the health and safety of self and others.Key Accountabilities for Commercial Gas Engineer:-Service and testing of gas appliances-Repairs to commercial and domestic gas appliances-Commission new gas appliance installations-Comply with the current edition of the Gas Safe Regulations-Work in conjunction with allied trades on multi trade sites-Apply Council Values and abide by all relevant policies and procedures in particular those relating to Equality, Safeguarding and Health and SafetySkills, Knowledge & Experience for Commercial gas Engineer:-Applying considerable experience of all of the above types of work and of direct, indirect, atmospheric and forced draft commercial gas appliances-Communicating at all times in a tactful, courteous and patient manner-Understanding instructions, plans and drawings, and producing, maintaining and administering records-Lifting and working at heights in different conditions / locations-Safely applying knowledge of asbestos and manual handlingQualifications & Training for Commercial Gas Engineer:-Full, current UK driving licence-Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 Heating and Ventilation qualification or equivalent-Current Commercial Gas ACS accredited-Asbestos awareness-Working at height using scaffolding / portable staging ladders and other access equipment-Manual handling-Gas Safe CardEden Brown is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
