HR Advisor

Are you a HR Advisor looking for a new, fast paced challenge?
ASA Recruitment are working with our Public sector client in Edinburgh to find an experienced HR Advisor to work within their HR & OD team.

As the HR Advisor you will:
· Arrange end to end recruitment process for all levels of appointments
· Support Managers and provide advice with issues such as capability, disciplinary, dignity at work and absence management, ensuring early intervention
· Guide and advise on HR policy, procedure and other relevant legislation
· Research, analyse, collate and provide timely, relevant and accurate reports on HR management information utilising online systems and data and sourcing relevant external information and comparators, recommending action as appropriate to address issues arising
· Support HR and OD initiatives and projects including change management and staff learning and development
· Draft papers, reports and correspondence

Successful candidates for this HR Advisor role will need:
· Ability to manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
· Demonstrate a wide variety of generalist HR advice to managers and employees
· Strong understanding of employment law and its application
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
· Competence using a variety of IT systems, including HR Management Information Systems as well as Word and Excel
· Associate or Chartered Membership of the CIPD, or working towards it
