***Must hold a minimum 2:1 graduate with a strong academic background
***Experience in an academic support role is essential
***Long-term, full-time position – no day-to-day or supply roles
***Academic Mentor support role which could potentially lead to Teacher Training!
***£65-£75 a day for initial period, increases once placed on teacher training!The chosen Academic Mentor>Minimum 2:1 degree in any core subject (English, Maths and Science)
>Experience working with students desirable for the role (1st class graduates are an exception)
>Confident and personableBased in Waltham Forest, the Headteacher of this secondary is particularly interested in an Academic Mentor who would be willing to undergo teacher training with the school under our unique route into teaching. We offer graduates a salaried route into teaching, without the tuition fees and lengthy lectures.The Academic Mentor will work closely within their subject-specialist department, supporting the lessons across KS3 and KS4. When instructed, you will lead 1:1 and group booster sessions for students who are struggling to grasp the lesson content.
