Health and Social care Teacher

We are working with a great school that are looking for a Health and Social Care Teacher to join their team. The role is to start in January 2018 on long term supply basis (Maternity cover)
As a Health and Social Care Teacher your responsibilities will be:• Teaching Health and Social Care to KS3,4 and 5
• To plan, deliver, evaluate and assess excellent teaching and learning
• To be a pastoral tutor and teach PSHCE where appropriate
• To ensure that the safeguarding of students is a primary concern
• To participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents relative to the above duties
• To be responsible for the provision of work for classes when absentIn order to be successful in the Health and Social Care Teacher role you must:• Have previous experience teaching the UK curriculum
• Hold an up to date DBS
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Have strong knowledge of the KS3,KS4 & KS5 curriculum
• Work well with staff and pupils alike
• Experience teaching Health and Social Care up to A LevelThe successful Health and Social Care Teacher will be offered:• Staff development programme
