Teaching Assistant

The student is very bright but socially needs help integrating into the year group; he loves drawing and Maths but struggles with anything English or Language related. He’s very passive but does get upset at times; when that happens, the best advice is to bring him out for some water and let him sit on his own for two minutes until he calms down.The school is rated as Outstanding and is located across the street from Kings Cross station. It’s a new build and has spent a lot of time during the building process to ensure it is a motivating and stimulating environment for students and staff alikeThe perfect candidate will have the following skills & attributes
• ASD experience
• A strength in English
• Very well spoken
• Phonics experience
• Team playerThe role consists of the following tasks
• 8:30AM to 4:00PM
• ASAP start with a view of going permanent
• Open to slotting in when and where needed
• 1:1 with a year 2 student within the mainstream classThe school is located 2 minutes from Kings Cross Station, there are many busses drop you near the school as wellThere are various opportunities for forward progression at this school!
