Finance Assistant - Wolverhampton, West Midlands County
Salary Details: £18,500 - £20,000We are looking for a Finance Assistant initially for 3 months to support a busy period within the team.
In this role you will provide an efficient and effective transactional accounting or data management service; which includes the timely resolution of queries and accurate maintenance of data within the systems.
Key tasks will include the processing of provisional and actual handovers from Development, effective management of property assets to include rent adjustments, disposals, re-sale, mutual exchanges, staircasing, sales completions. Analysis of former tenant arrears, monthly data validation checks and monthly account reconciliation for housing benefit and court costs. Day to day management of team mail box, allocating tasks as necessary.
Accountabilities: -* Input of timely, accurate financial and non-financial data to agreed deadlines * Produce system reconciliations in accordance with approved guidelines * Build strong relationships with any internal or external customers or suppliers along with the wider finance function * Proactive approach and use of their own initiative * Ability to work under their own initiative and to complete a task or follow through a task or raise any concerns in the appropriate manner * Support the whole team in delivering our goals (team being the wider team) * Ensure financial information is delivered, or transactions are posted in the most efficient way, whilst maintaining accuracy and delivering to the required timetables and data protection regulationsTechnical Knowledge/experience:-
* Experienced in Excel and other Microsoft products * High level of computer accuracy * High standard of literacy and numeracy Qualifications:-
* No formal qualification required. * High standard of literacy and numeracy * Computer literate with MS products such as Excel or Word are essential * Experience and qualifications are not essential as full training will be providedClosing date for applications is Sunday 20th January with interviews taking place on Friday 25th January.
