Highways Planner/Programmer

As a result of a sustained increase in workloads, an excellent opportunity has arisen in Hertfordshire for a Highways Planner / Programmer to support a very busy team with the planning, programming, and coordination of highways maintenance and improvement schemes – in particular walk and build schemes.The role is available on a contract basis outside of IR35, or on a permanent basis. The hourly rate is listed, the salary available is in the region of £38,000 - £43,000.Key skills required:·Experience of use of Microsoft project
·Challenging outputs and minimising cost and maximising value.
·NEC Change Management process
Good understanding and applied experience of health & safety, quality, environment, finance and commercial.Key responsibilities:·To work safely and be responsible for personal safety, the safety of the whole team, and
that of others who come into contact with the work
·To work with supply chain and develop resourced agreed programmes of maintenance and improvements work
·To record all change management and impact on the scheme programme
·Have a reasonable understanding of NEC Term Contract
·To represent the client at formal meetings
·To assist with winter maintenance activities as instructed.
·To follow company procedures at all times.
·To actively foster a positive employee morale.
·To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
·To act as first tier management, deal with all related issues expected of this tier.
·To deputise for other Supervisory Staff.
