£40,000 - £45,000 - + £50 per day uplift when on site + ExpensesThe ClientOur Client, a world leader in providing specialist field joint coating services to the onshore and offshore services for all major pipeline construction contractors who have earned a reputation for quality, performance, reliability in the services of the company.The RoleOur client are looking for a contract manager to maximize the company’s sales, project profitability and cash generation through successful commercial execution of contracts through identification of opportunities and mitigation of any risksMajor ResponsibilitiesThe below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.Contracts AdministrationEnsure compliance with signed contract thorough review and interpretation of contract from a commercial opportunities/risks perspective
Raise & submit to client all commercial documents to the client
Identify & submit Variation Orders
Bring to a close any disputed accounts, handling negotiations to resolve payment in line with terms.
Accountable for the preparation of month end revenue and costs, project forecasting and reporting out of project profitability
Proactively chasing trade debt & resolving any disputes with invoices in a timely manner
Build positive relationships with our clients to improve opportunities of repeat business and additional scopes.Commercial FinancePrepare & populate revenue, sales accruals, reserves, costs and Project margin on a monthly basis.
Review with the Finance Team each project on a monthly basis to ensure in line with long term project accounting & explain any key variances to forecast
Provide appropriate documentation to support project accounting on a monthly basis for audit review
Prepare & present monthly forecast costs to complete/Expected Project Profitability to the Leadership Team, highlighting any variances / overspend from the bid and work with the project teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
To comply with PIH Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, policies and objectivesRequirementsEducation Required:
Graduate/Degree qualified
Some travel to Bulgaria will be requiredWork Experience Required:
Background in commercial/construction is preferred.
Contracts and project accounting experience is essential
SAP experience is preferred
Skills & Knowledge Required:Strong excel skills
Strong communicator and leadership skills
Strong analytical, influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to work cross functionally
