Java e-Trading low latency Developer - Rates - Investment Banking
Java eTrading developer - Core Java, low-latency, multi-threaded Java developer with some exposure to e-trading.
This is a quantitative/development role to work on the development of the libraries for the rates products electronic trading platform, as part of a joint-venture team across IT and Research. This platform underpins the electronic rates activity including pricing, hedging and execution for the Rates business
Key Responsibilities
The Rates Java Algo electronic trading developer is responsible for delivering key technology projects both inside and outside the Quartz framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Close interaction with business and other quantitative research and IT teams in developing new features in the electronic trading platform and also in assisting them in the investigation of issues (eg post-event analysis, performance and scalability, latency reduction)
- Work with management to draw up specifications for new projects and estimate the costs involved in their implementation.
- Design and implement agreed electronic trading platform components which are robust with reliable testing strategies
