QA Manager (12 Month FTC)

Role: Quality Assurance Manager (12 months FTC)Location: BingleySalary: Dependant on experienceHours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 3.30pm on FridaysOur client is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their busy team in Bingley. The ideal candidate will have experience within manufacturing and possibly retail industries as well as experience with each of the duties detailed below.This is a full time contract for 12 months with an immediate start. There is potential for this role to extend.Duties* Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications* Liaise with customer’s on their technical / product requirements
* Liaise with suppliers on our product requirements of any issues
* Carry out internal audits and manage pest control
* Ensure REACH compliance across the supply chain (factories)
* To supervise the quality team / goods inwards inspection team
* Coordinate all complaints – supplier, customer and internal issues and investigate and ensure corrective action is implemented to prevent any reoccurring issues
* Ensure the products are tested in accordance with our customers testing requirements
* Ensure final production samples have been sent to the customer for approval
* Ensure product specifications have been completed for all new lines and updating technical databases for each customer* Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met
* Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
* Investigating and setting standards for quality/health and safety
* Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international level
* Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures
* Writing management/technical reports and customers’ charters
* Recording, analysing and distributing statistical information
* To ensure compliance is maintained for various certification bodies covering BRC and FSC and various planning / review of the factory audits (BRC, Smeta)Experience Required:* Experience within quality assurance is essential
* Experience working in a manufacturing, retail or textiles/garments would be of benefit
