Interim Project Manager – Workforce Strategy

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Project Manager for their workforce strategy project.

The project will deliver a strategic paper on how to supply a clinical workforce that meets the requirements in the region. This will include a systematic review of the current workforce, an evidence-based vision for future workforce requirements, and recommendations for future decision making. The postholder will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing this project from idea to delivery.

The overall timescale for delivery of this project is 3 months. Remote working will be considered.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage project deliverables to budget, time and quality;
Develop project plans and milestones and ensure that these are managed within agreed timescales;
Provide relevant and well-structured data analysis and benchmarking from accredited external organisations to support the delivery of the project;
Ensure that required documentation is professionally produced to deadlines;
Develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the organisation;
Provide a monthly update using the corporate highlight report, escalating any issues that might affect the overall delivery of the project.
The ideal candidate will have:

Project Management qualification;
Significant experience of managing and delivering strategic projects at this level within the NHS;
Strong stakeholder management skills.
