Training Support Officer

Akton Resourcing has a vacancy for a Training Support Officer

The job, whilst being based at the EEC, will require the candidate to travel across Lancashire to the services multiple waste facilities to deliver training in various forms to a predominantly manual workforce, working 37 hrs a week Primarily Mon to Friday (but will include some weekend working).

The candidate will:
* Have experience of delivering training to a large workforce.
* Be able to demonstrate different methods and styles of training delivery (i.e. risk assessment roll out, tool box talks etc.) in an interesting and engaging way.
* Have the ability to grasp/understand and put into context new information/topics that relate to a potentially unfamiliar work environment - i.e. you may come in knowing nothing about risk assessment or safe processes on waste sites but will need to gain an understanding of it quickly to be able to convey it to employees.
* A technical background is desirable.

Essential requirements:
* Have experience of delivering training to a large workforce.

Role Context Information:

Following a review of the services' systems and training needs The Technical Support Officer (Training) will report directly to the Principal Waste Management Officer (Management Systems) to assist with the development and roll out of new documents and training programmes.

The role will predominantly provide support across all areas of the waste services' functions to a large manual workforce across Lancashire although the role will deliver training to a variety of levels and abilities from time to time.

The main focus of the training will relate to aspects of health and safety, waste operations and environmental compliance although other training needs may be identified.

An ability to develop different types of training packages and use different techniques to deliver training dependent on who the trading is for is required
