Quality Engineer - Laboratory Lead

The role of the Quality Engineer Analyst is to ensure the efficient, effective and compliant delivery of Customer return product testing, line management support for the Lab technicians and evaluation activities in support of product performance assessment, and data analysis.Duties:* Accountable for all aspects of GMP and 5S within the laboratory
* Ensures equipment is operated as per SOPs and work instructions
* Provides on-the-job training/coaching to Lab Technicians
* Conducts product testing and analysis in a safe, compliant and timely manner
* Ordering/re-ordering of lab supplies
* Conducts cell audits as required
* Drives continuous improvements/updates within the laboratory
* Ensures the timely execution and delivery of lab activities per the testing schedule
* Identifies and escalates testing and evaluation issues to PA Quality Engineering for containment, investigation and corrective action
* Provide input in the observation of the performance and behaviour of others as part of the people management activities within the labs
* Interviews and participates in the recruitment processEssential Requirements:* Working knowledge of cGMP
* Working knowledge of regulations governing lab operations
* Safe handling of blood products and blood testing of product testing/lab protocols
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
* Planning and organising skills
* Computer skills e.g. MS Office, database systems; report generation
* Time Management skills – ability to prioritises tasks to meet timelines
* Verbal communication skills
