Service Operations Consultant

A Managed Services provider who specialises in Cloud Services, has an urgent requirement for an experienced Service Operations Consultant. Reporting into the Technical Services Manager, you will be required to provide operational and technical support together with consultancy expertise to my client and their customers.Role Responsibilities:* You will be required to support and develop the Service Operations function in line with the Service Operations Team Leader, and to run the services from their data centres at maximum efficiency.* You will be expected to work closely with the Team Leader, coordinating the technical requirements of Service Operations with other teams and their customers as and when required.* You will be responsible for the scoping of technical aspects of all Service Operations.* You will be required to create the standards for design, implementation and configuration of my client's solutions, and those of their customers.* You will be expected to manage escalations from the Service Desk, provision of technical support to all internal systems, Managed Services and customer transformation projects.* Design, plan and implement installations and removals of services from internal Datacentres.* On-site attendance at customer sites when required.Skills / Experience Required:* A minimum of 5 years commercial experience in a technical consultancy or Service Operations role, in a client facing commercial organisation.* Proven commercial experience of technical environments – Data centre hosting, virtualisation (server and desktop), networking, authentication, storage, security and monitoring.* Excellent knowledge/experience around Hyper-V, VMWare, Windows Server 2012, 2016* Proven System Centre skills; (SCCM, SCVMM).* Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services/Group Policy/DNS.* Microsoft SQL Server.* Knowledge of Service Desk systems.* Experience of technical design and testing plan creation.* It is expected that you will hold at least 1 Microsoft certification/qualification (AWS, Cisco, VMWare, Juniper, etc).* If you hold ITIL qualification this will be held in your favour.Please apply online with your CV
