Title: Senior Finance AnalystContract Position based at: Gaydon/WhitleyPosition Description:Join this team, and you`ll be helping to fuel our growth on a global scale. Finance not only sits at the very heart of our organisation, but it also affects every element of everything we do, so the decisions you make here will ripple through our business and, ultimately, all around the world.You'll join the Portfolio Finance Team in Product Engineering, which works across all vehicle lines providing analysis and insight into future vehicle line returns as well as supporting Product Strategy and Product Planning in modelling and developing future concepts.You'll focus on supporting the current platforms and future concepts within the following three areas:Strategy- where you'll act as a business partner to our Product Strategy colleagues and support the financial modelling of strategic and ad hoc business cases;Planning - where you'll support our Programme Finance colleagues on future car line programmes by modelling and reporting key financial metrics across all key financial gateways, based on latest financial data from different areas of the business;Reporting - where you`ll support the Business Planning process through preparation and analysis of latest model line returns.In your role, you will:Carry out ad hoc strategic vehicle line studies and scenarios as required;
Set appropriate business targets at early gateway and provide financial support for those programmes, including representing finance at cross-functional work groups;
Maintain robust profit models for future vehicles and various future concepts;
Interface with the Vehicle Finance team, Product Marketing Finance, Product Strategy, and the Project Management team to ensure profit models represent latest agreed position of each programme;
Carry out competitor analysis using various sourcesSkills Required:Qualified Accountant
A Level Maths at B or equivalent e.g. BSc.
Advanced Excel skills (quick and accurate)
Experience Required:Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing role.
Your experience will have made you no stranger to questioning and providing solutions around how to achieve commercial success in an ever-evolving environment.
Besides a challenger mindset, your success in this role will depend on your ability to communicate with a diverse audience ranging from Senior Management to Product Engineering, and you'll be equally comfortable liaising with Finance and non-finance stakeholders.
You`ll need a proactive approach
Ability to work with minimum supervision and taking full ownership of profit models to report financials consistently
A continuous improvement mindset demonstrated by the ability to pro-actively identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to review, challenge and embed key processes.
