The role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Analytical Support team within Civil Operations Finance. This role will provide management accounting support to our UK domestic manufacturing facilities within Civil Operations in an efficient & timely manner, supported by standardised planning and reporting solutions. The role will cover a number of businesses, working closely with the Site Finance Managers and Plant teams. As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for and involved in: * Applying actuals reporting including journal preparation, variance analysis, and preparing business review packs to review with the Site Finance Manager. * Preparing weekly standardised reports to the Site Finance Manager and the Business Leadership teams to allow accurate decision making and improved business performance for the plants supported. * Balance Sheet management, including completing balance sheet reconciliations, audit reviews with Chief Accountants, and answering questions from auditors, EFSC, and HQs where required. * Preparing and populating standard budget/forecasting models using key inputs from various business contacts. * Challenging forecasting inputs such as load & capacity and op costs, loading models into HFM, and preparing business review packs with meaningful business commentaries for review with the Site Finance Manager. * Standard Setting - Prepare and populate cost rate models for Site Finance review. * Attendance at agreed value-added business meetings such as business cost reviews, consumables reviews, and actuals / forecasting business reviews, and provide training/coaching to the business teams where necessary. The Building Surveyor will be given a fantastic opportunity to work across all areas of Building Surveying including Design and Contract Administration, Project Management, Dilapidations, Technical Due Diligence/ Acquisition services, Party Wall / neighbourly matters, Condition Surveys and strategic life cycle appraisals. The Building Surveyor will also be client facing working predominately in the commercial sector. The Building Surveyor must have a degree in Building Surveying and be ideally a full member of the RICS. They must also have a ‘can do’ attitude towards their work, be a confident communicator and have experience working in a consultancy environment.
