Supply Chain Officer – 6 months contract – up to £341 day rate Umbrella (Inscope IR35) or £272.92 day rate PAYE - Defence Organisation – Bristol** Our client is Defence organisation based in Bristol who are looking for an Interim Supply Chain Officer to join their team on a 6 months contract. Key Responsibilities and experience required for this role: Previous Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics Support Management experience Ideally have experience working within a Defence/ MOD environment Provide support to the supply output for the equipment and in line with customer requirements as stated within IBA/JBA documents. Comply with JSP 886/482/422 and Local Business Procedures ensuring the maintenance of output delivery is afforded the highest priority to ensure operational capability is met. Ensure accurate data maintenance on all relevant supply systems to ensure all accounts remain robust and meet audit requirements for stock accountancy. Conduct stock level analysis of all relevant supply systems to support the provisioning of equipment to agreed customer levels. Monitor and progress demands for all post related equipment. Monitor and progress contract deliveries ensuring delivery data is accurately maintained on supply systems in support of contract performance measurement. Provide data in support of logistic reviews, transformation activities, management checks and competitive tendering activities. Monitor and expedite the return to serviceable of unserviceable components, held both at depot and unit. Provide support to the local approval of disposals before transfer to the central disposal activity. Monitor financial commitment on contracts to ensure best use of resources and contribute to monthly FOO and annual PR as required. Excellent IT systems knowledge and experience. The purpose of the role is to: • lead a team providing repairs and improvements to our clients owned dwellings, properties and land managed by Landlord Services, including responsive repairs, gas servicing, relets and planned cyclical maintenance. • Maintain day-to-day line management and development of operatives within a team primarily composed of one of the following trades: gas, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/glazing, general trade. • To be responsible for ensuring high quality work from operatives, getting work done “right-first-time” and achieving high customer satisfaction whilst staying within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service. • To lead on the management, monitoring and development of a portfolio to ensure sustainable development and/or best value i.e.:- materials and equipment, health and safety, Service Level Agreement/contract compliance, fleet management. Valves; Propulsion Gearboxes; Gearbox Ancillaries; Boat Transmissions; Conv Shafts & Props; Other Propulsors; Shaft Ancillaries; Submarine Shafts & Seals & Voith Schneider Propulsors.
