Our Public sector client is currently looking for an Electrical Trade Manager to join their housing delivery team on a 6-9 month initial contract. Extensions and other opportunities may also arise.
The purpose of the role is to:
• lead a team providing repairs and improvements to our clients owned dwellings, properties and land managed by Landlord Services, including responsive repairs, gas servicing, relets and planned cyclical maintenance.
• Maintain day-to-day line management and development of operatives within a team primarily composed of one of the following trades: gas, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/glazing, general trade.
• To be responsible for ensuring high quality work from operatives, getting work done “right-first-time” and achieving high customer satisfaction whilst staying within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service.
• To lead on the management, monitoring and development of a portfolio to ensure sustainable development and/or best value i.e.:- materials and equipment, health and safety, Service Level Agreement/contract compliance, fleet management.
The successful candidate will have an electrical background, proven management experience of trades and technically qualified staff you will also be IT literate due to the introduction of a new housing system. Experience in business change management would be beneficial.
This role is deemed to be Inside IR35
Working Hours are Monday – Friday
