Our DS Smith Recycling Head Office, based in Caerphilly has an excellent opportunity for a Customer Services Representative to join us on a permanent basis. Working within the Finance Function, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a quality service of support to the management structure by providing the first point of incoming customer or vendor contact, order processing, invoicing, reporting and general administrative duties in order to meet the requirements of the function and the business. Key to this role is a high level of attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workloads and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines. You will also be responsible for: • Being the first point of contact for communication with the business partners either internal or external, ensure that all communications are handled in a professional, courteous and effective fashion, leading to business partner satisfaction and efficient resolution of requests or issues • Ensuring that all interactions are recorded in a concise, clear and effective way on the provided business systems in line with current process • Ensuring that all transactions are correctly entered onto the business systems and processed through to completion • Ensure that all necessary documentation is provided to customers and vendors on time and in full • Assisting in the maintenance of static data where necessary • Carrying out all general administration tasks, including filing, archiving, file maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the business • Liaising with other teams within the Business Services department to ensure business partner satisfaction • Managing your personal workload order to meet and exceed agreed targets and goals that match the customer and business needs in line with agreed contractual SLAs and KPIs • Contributing positively in order to ensure that personally and through the team a world class quality-orientated customer service that drives profitable customer interaction, and a positive customer experience is delivered What we would like our candidate to have… • GCSE standard or equivalent in literacy and numeracy • Excellent IT skills with high competency required for most Microsoft office applications • Experience with invoicing • Experience of working with business related computer applications • Strong administrative background, process driven with high attention to detail • Customer service excellence • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks to achieve deadlines and targets

The main purpose of the role is to work on extensive construction and refurbishment projects within schools and public buildings. Some responsibilities will include; Carry out site surveys and develop a project brief. Establish and agree a budget estimate and delivery programme. Prepare specifications, drawings and other tender documentation. Liaise with and manage the input of other specialists, eg structural, M and E, Asbestos. Collate planning and building regulation documents. Consult and communicate with the client and other stake holders throughout the project. Evaluate tenders and make recommendations to the client. Chair project meetings and administer the building contract. Assist the QS in agreeing a final account. Assist other project officers with all of the above where required.
