We have an opportunity for a Treasury Accountant & Banking Team Leader to join the team to cover a 9 month maternity (possibly longer) at the Shared Service Centre. As the Treasury Accountant & Banking Team leader, you will be required to develop strong relationships across the wider Finance function based at the Shared Service Centre and at Head Office, whist having line management responsibility. You will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes at each site across DS Smith UK and in some cases where necessary, identify potential improvements to current activities and processes. All activities are required to be compliant with established controls and procedures in order to meet reporting deadlines and requirements. Some UK travel may be required. What being a Treasury Accountant at DS Smith will involve… • Line management of two employees, and monitoring banking processes and working to ensure processes are operating efficiently • Liaise with Treasury Systems Manager over banking system changes, also liaising with key banking system providers • Ensure Treasury activities are completed on timely basis to meet internal and external deadline • Control all financial and management accounting relating to treasury items (month end and year end), including intercompany accounting and reconciliations • Ensure Treasury activities are completed on a timely basis to meet deadlines, and identify areas of improvement • Maintain and extend the organisations TMS (IT2) and accounting system (SAP and HFM) • Manage all aspects of the Group’s hedge accounting process (interest rate, FX and commodity) including review of initial hedge set up and associated documentation through to effectiveness testing and ultimate reporting to management of the overall cash position. • Liaise with auditors and internal customers on matters relating to treasury and hedge accounting • Keep up to date with changes to accounting standards and regulations (in particular IFRS 9) and ensure the organisation is well prepared • Ensure activities are completed on timely basis to meet reporting deadlines • Identify areas of improvement to facilitate a smarter close process What we would like our candidate to have… • Holds a professional accountancy qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA • Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines • Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis • Flexible worker who can pick up and complete ad-hoc tasks when required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • A competent computer user with experience of using Microsoft Office software • Ability to produce work to an excellent standard, paying meticulous attention to detail at all times • Treasury transaction knowledge is essential – AMCT qualification would be desirable • Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment desirable • Exposure to Hyperion/HFM consolidation/reporting desirable • Knowledge of SAP desirable About DS Smith... Our major client in Holland is looking to take on 7 x Control Valve Techs The role is likely to start at the end of april and the duration is 8 weeks. £21.00 all hours worked, all cost paid for. Description of the activities: A mark should be made on the valve to clearly indicate the hook-up of the valve positioner, relative to the flow direction. Additionally, the positioner is checked. If a control valve is offered, it should firstly, if the client wants this, be checked on a test bench, for running properties, visible disk tap valve leakage, a visibly poor condition and leak-rate; the values found must be stated on the inspection report. The valves can be supplied including, for instance, a reducing, limit switches and/or valve positioner or by other instruments. Accessories that are not included in the standard revision, should be revised against supplemental work. Entirely disassemble the control valve and clean it. When opening the valve, the release of any concealed product residue should be anticipated. After opening, the valve must be visually inspected and checked for defects. Findings and repair details must be stated on the inspection report. Blasting shall be limited to those parts that will be painted afterwards. Non-standard revisions must be reported/approved by/via the client, before commencement of the activities. Standard revision activities: * Identification and registration of inspection report * Photo documentation as part of setting of accessories and actuator * Marking of lines, positions, etc. * Pre-testing of valve functioning * Visual inspection * Disassembly of complete valve and actuator * Inspection of components * Registration of findings * Cleaning of components

Responsibilities • Act as the engineering focal point for platform specific engineering changes on the programme. • Assist the Production team in identifying suitable embodiment points throughout the change process • Play an active role in Customer Change Proposal Working Groups to ensure change is managed correctly • Participate when required at the Joint Change Control Board in identifying change requirements and impacts associated • Provide technical leadership within the Configuration & Change Team to identify domains affected by individual change. • Manage the production baseline & change control process and the respective design data for the programme. • To lead by example in fostering best practice in document and revision management. • Support the Configuration Management team in ensure that change process and toolsets are optimized • Audit the Engineering Change Process including all engineering change requests raised from trials, suppliers, internal design and production activities. • Prepare material for internal and external engineering progress reviews. • Provide concise briefings to Engineering Change Manager. • Outstanding organisational skills are required, together with tenacity to drive the process of configuration control from start to finish. • The ability for strong attention to detail is paramount for the successful execution of this role. • Act as the conduit for information flows between relevant departments, to build effective relations with staff to ensure compliance with the documentation process To be suitable for the Change & Configuration Specialist role, you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Engineering or Science discipline and have experience of controlling / managing engineering change on a complex programme.
