Primary purpose of the role: to lead delivery of the system testing and user acceptance testing of a range of projects across the Transition and Change Team Key responsibilities * Lead the delivery of testing of systems and processes in accordance with the requirements of any project assigned * Ensure that all Test responsibilities are clearly communicated to and agreed by all parties * Produce, issue and maintain test management control documentation required for the effective planning, execution and sign-off of testing * Adhere to approved test management work instructions and template control documentation and inspect and monitor the adherence of other testers to the same * Liaise with all directors, managers, staff, clients and third parties affected by or involved in the project * Manage a team of testers including setting of objectives, measuring performance against these, leading performance appraisals and identifying and implementing process improvements * Undertake internal, external and on-the-job training to enable performance in the role at the required level including active participation in the company’s performance management process * Perform duties efficiently and accurately within specified timescales in accordance with the work requirement (this may include performing other duties occasionally, working outside normal office hours or working away from the normal work location when reasonably requested by the management) Key tasks * Reviewing test basis documentation * Documenting test strategies and test plans * Providing guidance on and peer reviewing of system test coverage and scripts * Risk based prioritisation of test execution and ensuring test execution is evidenced * Providing guidance and support to the end-user’s test management for the planning and execution of user acceptance tests * Scheduling work * Report progress to project and line management as required detailing the progress of testing against the agreed test plan and highlighting any risks or issues affecting the planning, execution and sign-off of the testing requirement for the project, including monitoring variances between planned and actual effort and duration Experience within the Financial Services Sector is Essential for this role with any Pensions/Employee Benefits experience highly desirable.
