The role starts in September 2020 and would be for the academic year.
The Teacher would:
Work with pupils with learning difficulties with ASC
Helping all students enjoy their learning
Identify challenges and ensure that the pupils learn
Support pupils with communication skills
Helping pupils develop their senses and their physical abilities
Experience working with Special Educational Needs (preferably ASC)
Experience in using PECS in their lesson plans and writing IEP's
6 Pupils with 2 Support staff in the classroom
Subject knowledge of P Scales desired
Knowledge of teaching ages Ks1 and Ks2
Must be Caring, Adaptable and highly intuitive
The Teacher will be required to teach students who are on P Scales on the national curriculum, the pupils are of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 age.
The school is in Hackney, there is a good number of local transport services that run to the school including the underground and local buses, there is also ample parking on site. The school is in central Hackney and has local green areas that the pupils usually use in the summer.

They continue to develop the curriculum and offer a wide range of activities in music, arts and sport through which children and young people can express themselves. The wellbeing of students is marked as a priority and they continue to keep up to date with this by building strong relationships with students and families. Please note that the pay is MPS + SEN Points (paid via daily rate)

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
