Materials & Process Engineer - Aerospace - China - Contract.
Our client based in China requires additional support in the area of Materials & Processes.
1 year initial contract to commence as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.
M&P candidate required with metallic and composites experience.
Working on concession MRB activities (RNC/Nonconformance work) support to production activities.
Work in close collaboration with Liaison Engineers by providing timely M&P technical expertise / dispositions to a variety of manufacturing and assembly issues.
You will be responsible to ensure that reworks and repairs meet all material and processes requirements.
Engage with Stress engineering MRB specialists to ensure coordinated dispositions are provided thus making sure the structural integrity of the airframe is maintained for the life of the aircraft.
Document dispositions on M&P work files.
Support Request for Deviations (RFD), Technique Sheet approvals, process qualifications, EMCM issues, process failures, material queries, process queries, etc.
Ideally holding a degree in materials engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.
Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Aerospace industry directly related to metallic and composite materials use in Aircraft Structures. Previous experience with certification of a new aircraft is an asset.
Have Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
Have a profound knowledge of CATIA V5 and MS Office.
Able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and technicians.
Have a good command of English language (written and spoken) is required.
