My client is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to support the project team in the delivery of nuclear energy and radiation projects and processes to develop systems and equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Researching nuclear energy and radiation processes to develop systems and equipment.
Providing fit for purpose engineering solutions for complex projects.
Developing nuclear technology and applications of radiation.
Utilizing nuclear power and design new systems and products
Ensuring that design authority standards and configuration control are applied appropriately.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A degree in Engineering or similar technical qualification (HND / HNC).
Basic understanding of the UK Nuclear Industry.
Contract management experience.
Previous experience preparing and presenting reports in support of project delivery.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the successful candidate will support the organisation with all operational health and safety duties.
As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out risk assessments and audits
* Carrying out fire checks and inspections

* Conducting accident investigations
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will:
* Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate
* Have experience of working within a Public Sector, Civil Engineering or Waste Management environment
* Be happy to work on site 3 days per week.
In return the successful candidate will be offered up a daily rate of £230 per day.

Monday-Thursday, 37 Hours per week
The Site Engineer is accountable to the Site Construction Manager for ensuring contractors employed on their site execute works in a safe and timely manner. The Site Engineer is responsible for reviewing and accepting, method statements, safe systems of work and all relevant documentation.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
* HNC / NVQ level 5 or equivalent experience
* Construction Skills CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* IOSH Managing Safely
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
* Time Served Craft Based individuals i.e. experience held in civil, mechanical, electrical, scaffold access & insulation removal disciplines.
* Electrical experience/bias would be preferred
* Relevant experience of managing or supervising construction activities
* A thorough knowledge of the CDM Regulations
