AGILE PRODUCT MANAGER

DURATION: 6 MONTHS INITIALLY
Pontoon has an exciting opportunity for a Agile Product Manager to join our Retail Client based in Welwyn Garden City on a 6 month contract initially. My client is a blue chip FMCG and retail brand that serve millions of customers every week from all over the globe. With over 6,000 stores internationally my client are a well known household name that offer a number of exciting opportunities.
You will predominantly work with teams focussed on our clients online, customer-facing applications - this includes their transactional and loyalty websites & apps. Embedded within product teams, you'll play a key role in enabling the teams to thrive: maintaining the health of the operation, leading planning activities and continually driving positive change. You'll do this by applying agile principles and an experimental mindset, with as much focus on people as you'll have on process.
Monitor and report on metrics that reflect the teams' operational health.
Lead an outcome-focussed change programme - use empirical data to identify trends, expose issues and land initiatives that drive efficiency, impact and workforce sustainability. This will include collaborating with teams on optimising processes and standard operating procedures.
Foster a centre of excellence through education and engagement with the Agile Coaching Team, and evangelise best practice across the teams.
Run cyclical prioritisation activities for Online & Customer. This involves coordinating and facilitating sessions with a broad range of stakeholders, creating and communicating the plans, and continually iterating on our approach.
Manage and lead governance meetings for Online & Customer Product.
Work closely with the heads of product and the head of agile product & operations on long-term portfolio planning activities.
Maintaining a stakeholder map and own strong relationships with the Heads of Products, product managers, STPMs, HOSDs, UX leads & business contacts.Experience Required:
4+ years in an agile software product development / project management environment i.e. experience as an Ops Manager, Delivery Lead, Project / Programme Manager, Agile Coach, etc.
Strong knowledge Agile concepts and principles.
Working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and understanding all phases of the product development lifecycle.
Facilitating engaging retros and process re-engineering workshops.
Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills.
Experience working independently with minimum supervision, leading multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
High level of proficiency crafting high impact presentations using MS PowerPoint to clearly articulate solutions and create narratives that influence and commit people to change.
Key product metrics and analysing data to support decision-making.
Desirable: Some knowledge of lean / design-thinking
Desirable: BCS Practitioner in Agile certificate
