Principal HVAC Designer The candidate would provide a supporting role to the Senior Engineer to deliver the HVAC systems design packages. Able to assist the Senior Engineer in preparation for design reviews HAZOPs and give support to the Senior Engineer with progress reporting and ensuring successful, timely delivery of design work. Able to work as a team member, oversee senior designer & designer grade staff, liaise closely with 3D-modellers and have constructive dialogue with staff from all levels and disciplines. In addition, the candidate would be required to: produce drawings (VFDs, GAs & SLDs), calculations, CDM risk assessments and OIMSs input to specifications & other miscellaneous documents supporting the HVAC design process carry out site surveys of HVAC systems level 3 checking of drawings produced by other designers. It would be an advantage to be familiar with delivering projects using PDMS. Any prior experience of HA cell design would be preferable. Experience of using Hevacomp software preferred. Qualifications and Comments Educational Professional Qualifications Required HNC / HND in an appropriate engineering subject. Additional Comments Minimum requirement of 15 years engineering experience working within a highly regulated industry, 10 of which should have ideally been gained within the nuclear industry. Fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry design guides and standards relating to this discipline. It would also be an advantage to be familiar with the relevant Sellafield Limited Design Standards. The position is subject to the ability of the candidate to obtain as a minimum baseline personnel security standard clearance and obtain a Sellafield P4 pass. The role holder must either hold SC clearance or have started their application, with the belief of the employer that there should be no grounds for this level of clearance to be denied. Current possession of a P4 Sellafield pass and security SC Level would be ideal. Monitored / Classified worker status is required for this role

Key Duties : • Operation of optical fibre splicer and production of accurate test results. • Installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre-blowing equipment to required standards, including fault finding on existing network. • Splicing and testing of external optical fibres to the end customer premise in line with time and quality standards. • Typical work types include blowing fibre, FTTP, DSLAM splicing and spine.
