The Role: • You will employ your knowledge and expertise to ensure consistency of design intent, solve manufacturing problems, and assist in the efficiency of the construction process. • Utilising cable management tools and techniques you will develop the design of the cable routing highways, create cable routes and produce cable termination details. You will also provide data to support the cable reeving plan, cable installation schedules and test and commissioning paths. • In addition to this, you will also be involved in the development of integrated and detailed design solutions from the interpretation of design guidance and initial design diagrams utilising both 2D and 3D CAD environments. • You will also provide technical support (design liaison) and troubleshooting responses to manufacturing, build and test areas. My client who is a leader within the Industrial and Electrical sectors both in the UK and internationally has a key requirement for a Project Manager on water treatment plants in Cumbria area. As a Project manager within the Water Treatment Industry you will: *Have a strong engineering background * Understand and be able to administer Contractual Procedures in alignment with those stated in a given Contract. ? Understand the terms and conditions of each Projects particular / applicable Contract (NEC, JCT, etc.) ? Review and advise Senior Management on risks associated with a given Contract where possible. ? Implement good management and leadership practices. ? Analyse, review, monitor and control Project Budgets. ? Be responsible for overall Project Costings. ? Certify Sub Contractor Payments. ? Review and ensure compliance Payment Certificates received. ? Ensure that all applications for payment are a true reflection of works completed. ? Advise Senior Management on all financial elements of a given Project as required. ? Analyse, review, monitor and control Project Designs. ? Establish, monitor and action Project Resources. (Including Sub-Contractors) ? Develop and Manage department heads such as design, financial, procurement and installation teams. ? Implement project specific protocols to ensure harmonious working between all parties described above and the client. (Communication structure, Document control, etc.) ? Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) protocols are implemented, monitored and amended / improved as required. ? Manage the client’s expectations and advise on best courses of action considering any and all constraints of the agreed Contract Scope. Required Skill Sets, Qualifications & Attributes: ? Sound knowledge of UK Water Treatment Installation Standards. ? Sound Engineering knowledge with respect of UK Standards of Installations. ? Possess the valid ECS card, and / or higher grade. ? Possess a minimum of a HNC / HND in chosen field of Engineering (Mech / Elec) ? Be IT literate. ? Have a respect and detailed level of understanding towards commercial aspects of delivering capital Projects. ? Be contractually aware. ? Be able to understand risks facing a Project and the means of mitigation. ? The ability to be proactive in problem solving. ? Be able to understand the cause and effect of decisions made and the responsibilities of which the PM’s decisions carry. ? Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Possess leadership skills and the ability to drive and motivate others. ? Where possible strive to achieve democratic solutions, involving and respecting decisions and thoughts of others, to aid in making true informed choices. ? Be prepared to implement disciplinary actions as required / expected by EWW. ? Must have self-discipline and promote that where possible in others. ? Our client contractor is looking for a Site Manager on a Contract basis for a Holiday cottage refurbishment project in Ulverston. Daily responsibilities will include site supervision, activities and inductions, sub-contractor management, Health and Safety, Ordering and Take Offs, Internal RAMS, CDM’s, re-programming where required, client liaison and chairing site meetings. Our Client would prefer candidates from a Trades background with experience in internal fit out and refurbishment with a minimum of 5 years at Site Manager level. You must be computer literate and also have SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid & 2 Working References from the previous 12 months.
