Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant on an initial 10 Month contract with the possibility of an extension. Working Hours and Pay Rate: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. At a pay rate of £8.60 Per Hour PAYE Job Purpose: To ensure that a comprehensive range of word-processing, clerical and administrative support services are completed as directed by the Employee Services Team Leader, including ensuring that Payroll, Pension, Personnel and Training related administration are provided to the Constabulary through efficient working in the Employee Services Team. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the administration support for the recruitment of Police Officers, Police Staff, PCSOs and Special Constabulary, whether permanent, temporary or agency including assessments centre and/or interviews and the preparation of correspondence to candidates. Assist in processing all retirements, resignations and transfer requests received from Police Officers, Police Staff, PSCOs and Special Constables. Once authorised, send a letter to individual confirming resignation acceptance and provide a copy of the exit questionnaire. Assist in maintaining Police Officer and Police Staff personnel electronic and paper-based records, ensuring changes are accurately recorded, including acting ranks, transfers and deployment changes, change of circumstance, secondments and promotions. Write to employees to confirm contractual changes as required. Assist in processing bonus, honoraria and competency related threshold payments and any other payments in accordance with policy and procedures. Update systems and inform relevant individuals. Provide management information as required.
