Position Summary This position will be stripping down a Class 222 train back to its shell and replacing all the Electrical items. You will be expected to complete Electrical re-fits from written work instruction, including traction motors, starter motors and underframe items on Rolling Stock. You will also be expected to remove and replace the entire interior and replace all electrical items. You'll be expected to test and inspect all replaced components with a fluke meter, so you must be competent in this area. This is a Safety Critical position and is a requirement against the Service Agreement (SA). The SAP Data Administrator will be based on our client's site in Derby reporting to the Programme Manager for Planning and Control Improvement. Assystem are an engineering design consultancy who work on a number of projects that typically encompass the complete design life cycle from enquiry through to commissioning and handover of the final project requirements; many involving new and novel solutions to today's engineering problems. Job role: The SAP Data Administrator's role is in support of a specific project with historic stock, parts and manufacturing information that needs to be identified using SAP in general view. This information needs to be matched by serial numbers and inputted into an Excel spreadsheet for distribution to the technical team. The work will involve:- * Data mining to find the information and then taking a part number and using SAP to understand: o What is in stock o What is on purchase order o What is on production order o Verify which versions of the drawing and RDN those parts have been made to o Assessment against the current 'earliest acceptable issue' for that part. * Where there are parts made to an earlier/non acceptable version, pass that to the relevant engineering owner to see if the version can be rolled back. * They will also identify where parts have no technical history in SAP and pass that on to Planning & Control to make a demand assessment as to whether the parts can be scrapped or whether they need further investigation.
