You will be working business hours, from 8:30am-4:30pm – no evenings or weekends! Aqua-Tech Recruitment have a fantastic long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Site/Sub Agent for a Sub-Station project in Dunbar. Starting ASAP and lasting for a minimum of 12 months, my client will be looking for the successful applicant to take responsibility for a wide range of tasks involving the day- to-day management of the site. Main duties/responsibilities: · - Preparation of all relevant documentation prior to the commencement of the installation phase of contracts, including but not limited to: site management plans, risk assessments and method statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources. · - Reviewing and approval of subcontractors site documentation including but not limited to: risk assessments and method statements, installation programmes and test inspection documentation. · - Management and control of all site activities ensuring that all work is undertaken in a safe and timely manner in accordance with all Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, all relevant contractual timescales and all relevant contract specifications. · - Liaison with the client's engineering and operational staff to ensure all KPI's are met or exceeded. · - To work alongside the Contract Engineer and Planner to regularly review the progress of the works ensuring that adherence to the contract programme dates are maintained. This will include the preparation and maintenance of fortnightly look ahead programmes. · - To ensure all required site documentation is completed including, diary sheets, daily allocation sheets, records of delays and changes, financial implications, Health Safety and Environmental documentation · - To undertake Site Inductions and regular Tool Box Talks for all resources visiting and working on the site. · - Ensure that site costs are monitored and controlled. · - Preparation of progress reports as required. · - Attendance at site visits / meetings. · - Coordination and liaison with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installation and construction teams. · - Preparation of material & plant requisitions. Skills & Qualifications: · - An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent · - Extensive experience in the delivery of civil engineering and structural refurbishment projects · - Demonstrable experience of working within the heavy civil and/or construction industry · - First Aid Training/NEBOSH · - CITB/SSSTS/SMSTS · - A commercial and contractual awareness balanced by excellent man management

JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer LOCATION: Torness Power Station SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: PAYE Rates - £21.34 to £27.31 p/h or LTD Rates - £28 to £36 p/h DURATION: 12 months YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - Previous experience in a similar role - Degree qualified or equivalent - CTC clearance (currently in place) ROLE INFORMATION: Torness Power Station was designed to meet safety standards. This person will be Implementing improvements to equipment, writing engineering change's (justifying why doing these changes hasn't degraded safety). - Write WO cards to get approval to do the work - Install and test procedures - Ensure compliance by Cavendish Nuclear personnel and subcontractors with the requirements of the clients Project Safety Plan, The Cavendish Nuclear Health, safety, Environmental and Welfare Plan and associated documents and legislation. - Ensure that work is undertaken to specification by the implementation of safe working methods. - Actively assist with the production and delivery of documentation for the work-pack. - Ensure personnel are appropriately briefed to safely undertake the duties within their control. - Ensure that the work is supervised, checked and accepted in accordance with the relevant specifications, drawings and standards of workmanship. - Liaise with designers and / or technical experts to ensure correct interpretation of their requirements and obtain authorisation for modifications as a consequence of local conditions. - Ensure that personnel comply with the requirements of Cavendish Nuclear procedures and where applicable project specific procedures and quality assurance programmes are adhered to and met - Work with the project team to: - Ensure the implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) - Promote a positive health and safety culture in Operations Group - Ensure that harmonious Industrial Relations are maintained - Improve safety performance to meet Company targets - Produce, and maintain in a timely manner, the documentation required for their part of the works. This includes Implementation Quality Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments etc. - Identify the need for 'in-service' training, for him/herself (and those under his/her control) and to advise management accordingly. Such training will be relevant to both specific tasks and projected career development. - Promote good communications between work group(s), management and centrally based staff. - Comply with the rules and regulations, permit systems and safety requirements in force and to promote these requirements within working parties. - Become conversant with aspects of man management, industrial relations, working agreements etc. - Perform other duties as considered appropriate by the Engineer in Charge that lie within the capabilities and experience of the Engineer.
