Accountable to the Station Lead Procurement Engineer, driving improvements in materials availability and improving interactions from/with stakeholders, both within Torness and the wider organisation. Nature and Scope • The suitable candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. • They will be able to demonstrate sound decision making, able to link disparate information, look for trends and patterns and make educated decisions. • They will be organised and able to demonstrate a pro-active attitude to deliver key benefits to the department and the wider business. • The candidate will also be effective at building relationships both internally and externally with suppliers. Principal Accountabilities • Proactively monitor, amend and review spares availability for key station projects, such as Outages and Work week plan. • Liaise directly with requesters and Project managers to improve foresight on requirements and embed lessons learnt to improve spares availability. • Become a core member of the team to manage the station Repairable process. Focusing on risk mitigation through data improvements and increased component availability. • Support the Obsolescence process, covering front end input and also provide the Procurement Engineer(s) with resolution packs to progress technical queries. • Underpin the resolution of technical queries through investigation in the system and discussions with stakeholders, both internally and externally. Industrial Painter - Torness Power Station, East Lothian O'Neill and Brennan require industrial painters to start on an ongoing project at Torness Power Station. All applicants must have the following: A painting/decorating related recognised Apprenticeship and/or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Previous experience working in industrial painting Nuclear Clearance is preferable, but can be also be arranged.
