We are currently looking for a qualified Pipeworker based in La Ciotat! We are looking for someone for a period of 6 weeks. To be consdiered for this contract you need to have experience in marine pipework. The projects we have are concerned with pipework, in stainless and mild steel between 20mm to 80 mm diameter, for systems such as fresh water, black and grey water, bilge and fire systems, seawater cooling systems, fuel and chilled water systems on vessels between 50 and 120 m in length. You need to have the ability to work with minimum supervision, understand basic drawings and fabricate pipes, including tack welding, according to industry practices. Supervision and management is in English. Pay is £240 per day shit (10 hours) late/night shift also available at increased rate. Typical tasks & duties will include: • Run requirements and scoping workshops with the customer, delivery partners and sales. • Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations. Produce design, validation, and migrations plans. • Lead implementation and/or execution of those plans. • Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security and provide recommendations to customers about improvements to network configurations and topologies to prevent problems before they occur. • Work with the internal Juniper Networks technical teams for placement of products and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability. • Work closely with colleagues and customer’s personnel to help test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features. • Support networks in early stages of deployment • Formulate network management strategies • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams • Build a strong customer relationship to become the trusted advisor for the Customer Engineering teams • Allow Juniper to understand Customer Engineering long term plans and decision, while identifying and positioning tailored solutions proposals aligned with customer objectives • Act as a technical liaison between the Customer, Account Teams and Juniper PS delivery teams • Demonstrate and point out Juniper Professional Service value • Participate in Project Delivery, by taking ownership of Architecture/Design, and provide technical guidance to other team members (SDN/Contrail). Typical activities are around the following key areas: • Developing and documenting High- and Low-Level Network Designs • Design Validation and Verification testing • Interoperability testing • Network Implementation planning • Trouble-shooting/fault finding • Knowledge Transfer workshops Further Requirements • Education to bachelor degree level preferred, with 5+ years of experience in a technical role (Service Provider networks and/or large Enterprises), including 3+ years spent supporting large IP networks. • Good industry knowledge. Broad technical expertise, e.g. Security, switching and management system. • Very strong knowledge (JNCIP/JNCIE, CCIE level) of the operation, design principles and troubleshooting of Open Stack is key. • Linux strong skills • Openstack (better RHOSP) skills. We do not need a guru on this but of course someone that has a good understanding • Networking (mainly in Linux environment) skills • SDN (better Contrail) understanding and ability to be trained on the job • French speaking (I don’t want to say that this is a MUST, but it’s for sure a very important requirement) • Very good relational skills • Knowledge of Contrail plus • Effective consultancy, planning & communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills, ability to work on multiple projects and manage customers appropriately. • Excellent communication skills

Our client is a relatively new entrant to the online retail market and has developed an inventory management technology to rival existing competitors. The client has now embarked on a rollout of the technology in Europe and across the globe, partnering with a number of supermarket brands to deliver this frontier technology. Our client has been engaged to support programme delivery of their platform on location and integrated mechanical and electrical installations at each client site. The client is now rapidly expanding globally thus beyond this Paris appointment there will likely be further opportunities to work internationally. The candidate should be willing and able to relocate in Paris and work out of the client’s site based project office. Become an integral member of the small site based team to deliver the project. Your responsibilities will include: § Reporting to the site based delivery lead and the site based client organisation. § Interfacing with a French principal contractor who will oversee site operations. § Managing effectively the subcontractor installations on site against written management plans. § Undertaking integrated activity coordination with other managers delivering interfacing trade packages e.g. grid installation, peripheral installation, conveying and automation. § Managing the daily and weekly planning of delivery and installation work to meet the objectives of the master programme - maximising the safe and efficient working of site. § Recording client or contractor delay in connection with the same and contribute to daily site diary. § Producing inspection and test plans and manage subcontractor delivery against these plans. § Applying processes in terms of HSE, quality assurance and construction management principles. § Making contributions to the overall project management plan and then enforcing their application to the site based activities. § Conducting safety briefings and attend safety meetings in regards to site health and safety. § Attending site progress meetings with installation subcontractor and file accordingly. § Contributing to weekly and monthly progress reports as required to support client reporting. § Contributing to lessons learnt, process improvement and knowledge sharing for the wider benefit of the international programme delivery teams. § Coordinating deliveries dispatched from wider European suppliers for all client and subcontractor supplied equipment. § Supervising the inventory management register and maintain up to date records/ledgers of all materials held on site in collaboration with installation managers. § Attending weekly planning and programming meetings with managers to monitor and plan material needs in advance of construction operations. § Liaising with the installation managers and the subcontractor to receive, check and store components within the subcontractor’s site storage facility. § Supporting subcontractor’s front end logistics process to quality assure components before these are delivered to the workface. § Reporting any missing items, or items not meeting project specification and subsequently implementing quarantine arrangements and materials return. § Keeping close and frequent liaison with French principal contractor to regulate delivery movements to site and the subsequent coordination and planning of equipment transfer to the working installation faces. § Ensuring the subcontractor’s logistics operations are carried out in accordance with the safety guidance at all times. § Undertaking weekly plant inspections and file inspections and certification accordingly and the site safety audits on a rota basis. Requirements: Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include: § Minimum of 5 years’ construction site experience is essential. § Logistics or stock management background is an advantage. § Knowledge and understanding of industry’s best practice. § Good analytical and problem solving skills.
