MPI have a requirement for Aircraft Mechanical Fitters to work in Waddington, Lincolnshire. £17.87 per hour LTD This contract is for approx 8 weeks with the possibility of going into the New Year. 40 hr week over 5 days, including overtime (weekends specifically)(overtime is not guaranteed) Applicants ideally to have served an Aircraft Apprenticeship however, NVQ Level 2 and above in aeronautical would be suitable. Applicants will be required to have a valid Human Factors certificate if selected for the role. The Aircraft Fitter will be an experienced RAF aircraft maintenance technician or a tradesman with equivalent aircraft maintenance competencies based on education, training, experience and performance. To provide engineering support to specific tasks allocated to him/her. The Fitter will be responsible to their respective STM Leading Hand for ensuring that all tasks allocated to him/her are completed in accordance with the agreed timescales and approved data. Key Responsibilities:- •Due notice is taken of all Safety, Health, fire and Environmental requirements. •The compliance with the safe system of work and Cobham SHE Technical Standards. •The quality and completeness of all aircraft work that he is detailed to complete. •Producing accurate and comprehensive documentation for all aircraft work completed. Ensuring that appropriate open entries' are annotated on the documentation. •Working Efficiently •Working with reference to all approved data. •Bringing to the attention of supervisor/manager any discrepancy within an approved date or STM procedure. •Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment. •Using the tool control system correctly. •Engineering standards and practices are maintained and that flight safety regulations are properly observed. •Contribute in a positive manner to the maintenance of a harmonious working relationship with Cobham, BAES and RAF manpower allocated to Single Track Maintenance. •Support technical, safety and other investigations when detailed. •Support implementation of remedial action from investigations •Contribute to business improvements initiatives. •Other tasks as directed by Management. •If requested, deputise for the STM LH. Individuals deputising must ensure they have the applicable authorisations prior to commencement of the task Core Competencies: •Previous experience within an aircraft maintenance organisation. •Health and Safety awareness. British Safety Council level 1. Key Measures:- •No attributable maintenance errors. •No attributable accidents or incidents. •Acceptable timekeeping. •Adherence to STM/Cobham procedures. •Reporting Accidents, Incidents and Near-Misses
