PURPOSE OF JOB
Contribute to the development of, and gain support for the Corporate and Directorates shared values, vision, policies, business objectives and strategies for staff, service users and carers, other agencies and the public. To provide a high level of Business Support service to all professional service staff across Lincolnshire County Council, whatever their location/functionality, ensuring work is completed within agreed standards and timescales.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS AND DUTIES
Assist managers and Business Support staff, as appropriate, to operate within Corporate and Directorate financial and administrative policies and practices.
On a daily basis plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by self, including setting and updating work objectives, plan activities and determine work methods to achieve objectives, allocate work and evaluate self against targets
Give support as required to all Managers who this post holder may come into contact with on a day to day basis
Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of all information .From corporate systems such as customer complaints, performance information data to Directorate/Service bespoke systems such as GIS, care plans, annual leave records, license applications (not exhaustive). Assist in the provision of regular reports through the use of technology
To provide a high quality customer service to both internal and external customers within the area office and local establishments in accordance with the Corporate Customer Service Policy.
To undertake reception duties, where appropriate, ensuring customer excellence standards are maintained.
To ensure the smooth running of the office through provision of general administration activities including filing, photocopying, dealing with
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The workload for this post involves a range of tasks supported by prescribed practice and procedure.
4 GCSE’s Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Be prepared to undertake NVQ Level 2 Administration
Experience of using window based packages
Experience of dealing with the public either face to face, telephone or written capacity
To demonstrate problem solving capabilities • Able to work on own initiative • Good written and verbal skills
A commitment to self development including the ability to attend training courses which may be away from the office and be prepared to undertake further training.
