As an Electrically Bias M&E Technician on our waterway you will play an important role using your technical expertise to assist with the implementation of improving M&E Assets within a defined area and will safely and efficiently support the delivery of improvements to the inland waterways network. Effectively and efficiently utilise available resources to maintain the integrity and safety of the core waterway through the application of rigorous asset management procedures and risk evaluation. Delivering innovative solutions which conserve and enhance the heritage and environment of the waterway network for visitors to enjoy supporting Canal & River Trust’s aims to improve safety and increase the number of people using the inland waterways network. Key Responsibilities: * Take on leadership responsibilities of the team you are part of in supervisor’s absence. This will include being involved in Safety Paperwork, Distributing and reporting back on work schedule, day to day leadership responsibilities, scheduling of tasks using time recording system. * Working to a planned timetable with support from the length inspection team survey, inspect, monitor and report on condition of M&E assets. With guidance, accounts for costs and monies received regarding rechargeable works. * Contribute to ensuring asset data quality with SAP, GIS and other operational information systems is accurate and up to date. • Where a vacancy arises, participate where agreed in the standby rota to support delivery of customer service defined standards and reaction to emergency situations. * Comply with Canal & River Trust Health & Safety policy and defined standards, report incidents, accidents and near misses. Complete point of work risk assessments and adjust work methods where appropriate. Skills & Qualifications: * An understanding of Health & Safety within site work and have a good knowledge of appropriate mechanical and/or electrical regulations. * City and guilds level 3 Electrical and NVQ level 3 (or similar level) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, JIB Graded desirable. * C&G 17th Edition wiring regulations, C&G Inspection & Test. * Authorised Person in 2 of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical or Scada - Learning Event VEEN024 * Relevant valid CAATS competency for use of plant/tools and equipment to maintain the canal/river environment * SAP skills & knowledge - Desirable * Valid driving licence appropriate for vehicle to be driven. * IPAF and confined space trained desirable but not essential * Must have own hand tools and transport to base

Key Responsibilities • Main contact supply chain contact for day to day activities. Attend daily production plan meetings, represent wider supply chain issues to the production team • Maintain production schedules and campaigns based on the master schedules. Implement master schedules to ensure the master schedule end dates and customer service commitments are met:  Communicate the production plan in line with the master production schedule  Ensure production plan and capacities are aligned and investigate any discrepancies  Liaise with many groups of people including warehousing, QA and laboratories to ensure material is available to meet customer demand. Generate data to support demand consolidation and lab pre- S&OP processes.  Maintain schedules by reviewing work centres in APO/SAP and processing RR’s if necessary.  Prioritise and expedite product approvals as required, reviewing the status of outstanding deviations relating to required lots  Liaise with internal & external warehousing to schedule required material movements to support production activities. • MRP owner for Finished Goods Manufacturing.:  Purchase of MRP items to support manufacturing operations  Liaison with Production supervision to ensure production continuity  Calculating material requirements using the exception report, or tank gauges or information from work tickets, calculating required delivery schedules accounting for lead times  Reviewing safety stocks, order quantities and lead times maintained in SAP.  Execute label changes in conjunction with artwork studio, PPM group & regulatory requirements • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies raw material/packaging suppliers. • Generate data and lead supply chain metric review meetings with Team Leaders, MS&T, QA, Production Coordinators. Ensure failures are investigated and appropriate countermeasures implemented. • Review and interpret inventory and provision reports on a monthly basis and ensure actions are followed through e.g. material dispositioned for destruction, expired materials etc. Maintain monthly financial data around days of stock
