The position is a full timetable on a 0.8 basis and will include planning and assessment, under the guidance of the Head of Department. Export Logistics Assistant – Liverpool - £16-18,000 pa Our client, a specialist engineering company based in Liverpool, are currently looking for an Export Logistics Assistant for a 6 month contract to start immediately. An extremely busy organisation, they require additional assistance working within the finance team on a contract basis. The Export Logistics Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance team to ensure the company is compliant with current export legislation. The majority of time will be spent dealing with export procedures, associated export paperwork, and processing letters of credit. The Export Logistics Assistant will deal with export pricing and documentation, including: * Commercial – invoices, quotations, packing lists * Legal – Certificates of origin, legalised documents * Shipping – Bill of lading, CMR, airway bill, EUR 1, ATR movement * Assessing risks, checks on orders and enquires * Letters of credit -checking wording/ presentations The Candidate The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of export and export documentation, working in a similar role with an understanding of quality procedures and processes. Knowledge of Incoterms would also be highly desirable, and good IT skills are also required.
