DevOps Engineer, International Transformation Project Devops Engineer required by leading International Retail Bank who are embarking on a global transformation programme of their existing Digital offerings. This is a super exciting project for true DevOps consultants. To paint a picture: Currently all the developers are working in a Agile fashion in the sense that they adopt Scrum effectively, daily stand-ups, sprints, effective use of Back-log etc….however the business has not yet incorporated Operations in the Agile scheme of things so despite all the developers efforts, nothing is going live. We need to supply a DevOps team of Consultants who can a) work with the development team, educating them in effective DevOps practise, and then b) build the new DevOps function. The company are operating off Linux (Java being core dev language used) so the tech stack you'll be using will include: - Jenkins - Ansible - Puppet - Chef - Maven - SonarQube - Nexus - GitHub The consultative element of this role is KEY, so don't worry if you don't tick all the above boxes, as long as you're someone who a) able to guide the dev team through effective DevOps and b) happy to pick up any of the above tech stack that you may currently be lacking. It's a big role, its expected to last a fair amount of time and will certainly be a very good 'stamp' on your CV for future projects. I'd welcome the chance to speak to any interested parties about this in more detail.
