Our Client, a District Council, is looking for a Housing Assistant for their small team who focus on Homelessness prevention. This team helps vulnerable people at risk of becoming homeless by liaising with Landlords, Families, and other agnecies to find resolutions and solutions.
You will be working both on the phone and face to face, establishing need, problems, and helping the team to resolve the issues.
In addition, you will also be providing effective administration support to the Housing Advice Team including management of the housing advice email inbox and Anite as the document management system, making telephone calls to a wide range of people to gather initial information and any other role related tasks .
You will be computer literate with good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideally you will have previous experience with a Local Authority or Voluntary Organisation dealing with Homelessness and demonstrable administration skills.
Role: 3 Month Contract (Initially)
Salary: £8.21 - £10 phr (depending on exp)
