We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to work for an Air Force company. MUST BE SC CLEARED 23 Months Contract You will be responsible for constructing and publishing the weekly flying programme whilst adapting this tactically as required to achieve the Squadron's Flying task. Other duties: To assist in monitoring the budgetary expenditure. Focal point between the Engineers, OC Training Flight and OC Mission Support Flight to ensure that aircraft and aircrew are scheduled, that all enablers are booked or coordinated appropriately and that external operational events are factored in through coordination with Lossiemouth A5 Plans and other Flying Squadrons. To assist to ensure that all work is programmed and completed within contractually defined timescales. To ensure that proper negotiations are carried out with clients and sub-contractors, accurate estimates are provided, and ensure that variations and other costs are recovered in line with company procedures and proper accounts are promptly submitted. To be responsible in ensuring that the Schedule of Rates and other contract requirements are appropriately, correctly and efficiently being used in respect of the work being carried out. Provide technical advice to team leaders, operatives, staff and clients. To use the information technology systems, communications and equipment, to assist in the monitoring of the daily business operation and performance. To be responsible for the security of work places, plant and materials and other equipment allocated for operational requirements. Good afternoon We have a requirement for two Clerk of Works positions as follows: Domestic Heating Installations - The ideal requirements for this position involves a gas heating installation qualification CCN1 (current or recently lapsed) and work supervision experience of domestic heating installations would be desirable. The candidate must be able to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software. The contract requirement will start mid-April 2020 and run until 31 March 2021. This may be compressed down from 5 days (Mon to Fri) to 4 days by discussion with the successful candidate. Role - Joint site visit with Contractor at survey stage to agree heat source (gas boiler, ASHP or infra-red) and radiator positions, including discussion with tenants on the essential need for lifting floor coverings etc. Inspection of heating installation in progress in accordance with the Council specification and resolving snagging issues prior to handover. There will be a requirement to take notes on any variations in finished work to assist QS staff agree the Final account with the Contractor. Domestic Fire Alarm Installations - This is a legislative upgrade project covering up to 5,500 properties over one year commencing April 2020. The contract is currently out to tender for appointment of up to 4 Contractors. The ideal requirements for this position involves an Approved Electrician or alarms installation Engineer. The candidate must be able to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software. The contract requirement will start mid-April 2020 and run until 30 April 2021. This may be compressed down from 5 days (Mon to Fri) to 4 days by discussion with the successful candidate. Role - Random visits with appointed Contractors to carry out house survey and complete risk assessment with the tenant, which then informs the scope of works at each property. Inspection of installation work in progress to upgrade linked smoke/heat/CO alarms in the entire housing stock in accordance with new legislation. Random checks on re-measurement of scope of works and certification paperwork completed by the Contractors, while completing snagging checks. The hourly rate attached with both roles will be between £17-£25 per hour dependent on experience. Both these positions will have access to the pool car system, but if a Council vehicle is not available they will be paid £0.40 per mile for use of their own vehicle for internal expenses.
