We are currently looking for a Finance Business Support Officer to join our great team based in our Baglan Head Office. You will join us on a full time, fixed term contract for 6-9 months. In return for joining us as our Finance Business Support Officer, you will receive: - A competitive salary - 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays - Flexible working scheme - Stakeholder pension scheme - Free onsite parking - Employee retail discount scheme - Onsite fitness classes The Finance Business Support Officer duties and key responsibilities: - Support the Payroll, Pension and Finance department in the preparation of the monthly payroll, providing cover and a continuous Payroll and Pension function in the absence of the Payroll and Pension Manager (reduced hour post - 30) - Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant payroll, pension and income tax data including the calculation, review and upload of monthly overtime and mileage forms and monthly payroll reconciliation - Be the liaison for employees in relation to any payroll queries, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly - Provide finance business support across the operational finance function, including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Rents, Fixed Assets and Cashbook - Assist in the continuous development of the Payroll and Pension function and the implementation of any new payroll systems and processes, encouraging best practice and efficiencies - By the end of this contract you will have taken on responsibilities for covering aspects for the Payroll and Pension manager role and developed skills beneficial for your future career To be considered as our Finance Business Support Officer, the below skills and experience are essential: - Previous experience of working within a payroll department - Enthusiasm and motivation to gain wider experience and work across all areas of our Finance function - Have a working knowledge of payroll systems with some exposure to reconciliations Closing Date: Sunday 18th November If you want to work in a vibrant environment that gives you the platform to make a difference to our tenants and our communities, please click apply today to send your CV and one page covering letter to become our Finance Business Support Officer – we’d love to hear from you
