In Cab Technology – Project Support We are introducing new technology to all our refuse and recycling frontline collection vehicles. The in-cab system is designed to help our crews work safely and efficiently, with up-to-date information about their routes. The system will also link with our website forms and call centre to ensure we all work together with the same information, improving customer service standards. For our operational crews, this is a very new way of working. All their work is currently provided in paper format. As such, we are about to start a comprehensive COVID secure training and support programme to ensure all crews (140 staff) can use the new tablet installed in their trucks to follow instructions on their daily worklists, report problems, including taking photographs where necessary, and adhere to all safety issues raised. The Project Officer role will get fully involved in this face to face training programme and help to ensure we’re using this new technology to the best of our ability. There may also be involvement in other waste and cleansing support projects as required. The candidate will be required to work at our waste depots (social distancing/COVID measures in place), in Keynsham and Bath, with some home working possible.
