ATA have an exciting new opportunity for a Site Agent to join a top cross-sector main contractor on a number of projects across the West Midlands on an on-going basis. Specialising in small and minor works, our client operates with great success across a number of divisions including rail, waterways, environmental and civil engineering. With plenty of work across the region, this is a fantastic opportunity for a flexible Site Agent with minor works and environmental experience to join the team on a long-term basis.
Let’s put our cards on the table straight away; this role will involve regional travel. As Site Agent, you’ll be expected to cover a number of sites across the West Midlands, so you’ll have to be willing to travel to sites and stay overnight from time to time if necessary. If you’re the kind of contractor who loves getting around the area and managing multiple sites at one, though, this is a role you won’t want to miss out on. Specialising in minor works and sitting within this main contractor’s environment agency division, projects will include flood alleviation, waterways and embankment strengthening, amongst others, with values ranging up to £1 million. As the mobile Site Agent for the area, you’ll be responsible for checking on site progress, ensuring sub-contractor compliance with the scheme and managing all site paperwork. As top dog reporting only into an office-based project manager, you’ll also need to manage site health and safety and take overall responsibility for ensuring a timely delivery of high quality work. If you’re up for the challenge, get in touch today to secure a contract you won’t regret taking.
It goes without saying for this one that you’ll need to hold a full UK driving licence and be used to travelling around multiple sites as a mobile Site Agent. You’ll need substantial experience in environmental minor works and you’ll need to be comfortable working on projects ranging from £200K to £1 million in value. You’ll be number one on site when you’re there, so you’ll need top notch subcontractor management skills, an excellent understanding of all paperwork required and the ability to assess the progress of site from a technical point of view.
* Minor works and environmental works experience
* HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering
* First Aid
* Up to £350 per day depending on experience
