SAP BASIS Specialist My market leading client are looking to secure the services of a contract SAP BASIS Specialist to assist with critical project work over the coming months. Ideally coming from a consultancy background with GDS/Gov Experience. Location: South Wales (Remote) Rate: £550 - £650 per day Duration: 6 Months (Extensions) Clearance: Any Level Desirable The Role: Primary responsibilities will be to minimise the adverse effect of incidents and problems that are caused by errors within the SAP environment and to prevent the recurrence of these incidents. To provide end-to-end S/4 HANA, PI and SOLMAN on a HANA and ASE Sysbase DB platform that will lead the overall planning and execution of major customer initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to; - New Software Installations - Upgrades - Client and database copies. - Batch job scheduling. - Transport Responsibilities - Printer Maintenance - Security management. - Database monitoring, parameter tuning and configuration - Ad hoc backups and copies Key Skills: - Provide technical support for changes in business strategy as related to the SAP Environment - Prevent incidents from spreading across systems - Reduce occurrence of incidents through proactive analysis - Help to minimise the consequences of service interruptions - Plan/size for new application releases/upgrades - Assist with the development of strategies for upgrades and new technology for: rollouts' high availability implementations; DRP considerations; SAP and third party/outside application and interface components - Troubleshooting for end-to-end performance improvements of SAP Environments - Hard knowledge and experience with current and emerging hardware components, server, storage, backup, networks and ability to utilise that knowledge tailored to customer business requirements and timelines - Lend project support and implement management procedures for technical implementations - Handle customers' technical concerns and skilfully negotiate closure - Demonstrate in-depth understanding of technical and operational challenges managing the information resources in support of client's business objectives - Assist with setup monitoring of systems, backups, etc, performance tuning as necessary (exposure to Solution Manager desirable) - Carry out daily checks defined above and escalate/resolve issues in SAP - 1st/2nd Line support of SAP applications (user access, printing, authorisation) - Assist with the Management the effective transport of configuration and fixes through the SAP Landscape - Assist with the application of SAP Support packages to the SAP systems and ensure their safe implementation - Assist with the application of SAP and DB upgrades on relevant servers to expand the functionality of the SAP software and to maintain software support levels - Assist with administration of the underlying HANA Environment, if appropriate Service Management: - Provision to support a system that is fully operational and deployable to all project member and customers via SLAs, which will include periodic out of hours support. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of operating systems (SUSE Linux & Windows Server 2012 onwards) - Knowledge of AWS Public Cloud. - Monitoring and tuning of system performance - Database monitoring, parameter tuning and configuration - Application upgrades and patches - Client creation and copy processes - Managing of systems used during development and testing cycles - Ad hoc backups and copies - Knowledge of enterprise-level applications - Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies - Strong customer service orientation - In-depth operational knowledge of Shared Service Centres - In-depth operational knowledge of all technical aspects of SAP - ITIL Service Management foundation practitioner - Project management skills EXPERIENCE - Technical experience with SAP products on S/4 HANA v1809 onwards - Technical experience with SAP products PI 7.5 - Technical experience with SAP products SOLMAN 7.2. - Technical experience in the following DB's HANA and ASE Sybase Database. - Experience with one or more of the following technical products/systems PERL Scripting; Shell scripting; Unix; Web Logic; Websphere; Windows NT - Experienced in the use of SQL and SQL DB - Experience of working in AWS Public Cloud. - Experience in the administration of application servers a 3-tier architecture in a high availability environment. - Working knowledge of SAP business processes associated with HR , Payroll, Finance and Procurement - Experience in configuration and release management - A successful track record support ICT system. We work closely with partner agencies to ensure residents receive wrap-around support. Staff work closely with residents to to identifying their goals and aspirations. We hold regular residents meetings and residents are encouraged to participate in these. Residents are assisted to find move on accommodation and we offer a resettlement service to ensure they have the skills to successfully maintain their tenancy

We are looking for qualified Building Surveyors to carry out a room by room, condition survey including lifecycle of a large public sector estate, the contract will form around 1-2 months of work initially with up to a further year after. All survey data will be captured into a PDA device with a pre-determined question set and method. Candidates will be required to be qualified according, ideally to a Building Surveying Degree level, alternatively we will review candidates with other associated qualifications with a strong record in condition surveying.
