UX Designer/UI Designer - Government - London - 13 months+.

A law enforcement agency is looking for a UX Designer to produce UX/UI designs and prototypes for a new national anti-money laundering system. The design will be informed by existing product requirements and user research, GDS standards and some organisational standards.

The designer will be expected to use an accessible, user centered design thinking approach and work at least 50% of the time in the London offices

You will work closely with the Service Owner to ensure all designs meet user needs and are consistent and in line with guidelines. You will report to the Product Owner and work closely with the project team (Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Architects, User Researchers, Business Analysts, Developers, Test Lead).

You will also be working within an Agile environment and be expected to work closely with the Product Owner to ensure all designs are consistent and suitable.

Knowledge:

The use of a combination of Azure Native Services including, but not exclusively, Azure Power Apps, Canvas Apps, and Azure Logic Apps to meet user UX needs.

Experience of designing for compliance to GDS guidelines and principles.

Experience of designing new patterns and components to contribute to an existing design system.

Experience of understanding and interpreting brand guideline rules.

Being comfortable working at both ends of the scale, from the big picture, high level flows and journeys to the detail of individual elements on screen.

Evidence of proficiency in UX, UI and interaction design techniques.

Evidence of proficiency in creating prototypes to support user research, stakeholders and design team decision making.

A clear understanding of user centred design best practice and accessibility principles.

Experience of interpreting user research feedback to inform user journeys and UI design.

Experience of planning, documenting and communicating the design process and concepts in a clear, concise manner.

Extensive experience in creating prototype and design specs and the ability to communicate the design process to Software Developers.

SC enhanced clearance will be required to undergo in order to start in this position.

This contract will run initially for 6 months; however, it is very common to receive renewals with this bank, and we would expect you to be on site for longer than this initial period. This role will be working from home from day one, however in normal circumstances would be based in Central London close to Morgate Tube Station.

In this role, you will be responsible for Build and Deployment management across our clients banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.

*Work directly for Risk Technology team to design build and deployment processes within the constraints of the current supported platform.
oThis will entail the creation of build processes in TeamCity, linking these to binary repository storage (Artifactory) and deployment automation ( Jenkins/MicroFocus DA)
oLiaise with distributed development teams to manage their transition from manual processes, supporting users as we progress,
*Migrate Risk Teams code base from Subversion to GitHub Enterprise
*Develop automation processes to deploy Docker from Artifactory
*Understand benefits of Azure DevOps, work on deployment automation of Azure Databricks, DataFactory, Functions and Containers.
*Support the direction of automation of processes by redeveloping existing manual/air gapped build and deployment processes
*Follow direction of the Build and Deployment Manager/RISK team leader.
*Suggest/implement improvements to processes with an aim of continual improvement.
*Suggest/develop further automation possibilities.
