Tradewind Recruitment is working with a good primary school based in Hounslow that are recruiting for a 1-1 reception Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD. . The SENCo of this Outstanding school in the heart of Brentford in Hounslow are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in reception with ASD. The role will involve working as a general LSA in the mornings and supporting 1:1 in the afternoon. As a general LSA in the morning, your role will consist in aiding the class teacher with the morning register, assisting with guided reading before the morning break, and then assisting the low ability pupils with literacy before lunch time. The pupil in the afternoon is high functioning and is verbal. The pupil is bright and engaging however has behavioural tendencies in which can trigger of disruptive behaviour within the classroom. The pupil has a high interest in literacy however requires support in numeracy. The role will involve *1-1 support for a year 2 pupil with ASD *Work alongside the EYFS team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support *Firm but fair behaviour management skills The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days' week and will be due to start in February 2020 to continue for the full academic year.
