You will be working on an interesting mix of Residential and Commercial Infrastructure projects and will assist in the preparation of CAD drawings/designs within a friendly, close-knit design team. My client, a Local Authority on the South Coast, are seeking to appoint a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) officer for the effective delivery of home adaptations funded through the Disabled Facilities Grant programme. This is a new and exciting post intended to support the implementation of an evolving service that promotes greater choice and control for residents eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the Council's statutory duties and responsibilities relating to the provision of Disabled Facilities Grants are met, and will require an excellent understanding of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. The successful applicant will be responsible for processing applications for Disabled Facilities Grants; including carrying out statutory tests of resources, preparing schedules of work, checking quality of work, and liaising with clients and all relevant stakeholders. Main duties will include: - Ensuring timely and accurate pricing and rebates into the system to prevent queries - Identifying, tracking and escalating issues accurately in order to prevent inaccruate invoices before they are sent to the client - Instigating regular and comprehensive accrual reviews to ensure you are accruing a suitable amount to the balance sheet - Checking VAT rates against relevant codes and taking corrective action to avoid mis-charging VAT on products - Maintaining master data in a timely manner to ensure correct data flow through the company and customer systems This is the ideal role for somebody who has a good knowledge of pricing and invoicing.
